Gemini Can Make Routine Calls for You on Pixel 11

Need to ask a store whether something is in stock or move a reservation? Gemini can now place certain business calls for you from a Pixel 11. You give it a task, review the number and details it plans to share, then tap Call for me to start. Google says the feature is rolling out gradually.

You can follow along—or take over

Gemini uses your phone number and identifies itself as a Google AI assistant on a recorded line when the call begins. You can follow a live transcript, listen in, or take over the conversation. Afterward, Gemini provides a summary; the Phone app also keeps the transcript and recording.

Who can use it now?

For this early rollout, Google requires users to be 18 or older and in the US, with a Pixel 11, US SIM, Google AI subscription, English device language, and the public beta of the Phone by Google app. Calls are limited to US numbers, daily call limits apply, and normal carrier charges may apply. Gemini cannot handle emergency calls or financial transactions.
